Rip City Academy brings professional-level player development to Berkshire County. Every swing, every pitch and every lift is measured, so improvement is something you can see instead of something you hope for.

What we do
Development,
not just reps
Anyone can throw open a cage door. Rip City exists because Berkshire County athletes deserve the same feedback loop that college and pro players get: a plan built for them, technology that shows what actually changed, and coaches who have played and coached at the level the athlete is chasing.
Hitters work on HitTrax. Pitchers work through Driveline modules with velocity tracked on radar. Strength work is run by full-time strength coaches, and we are building our own Rip City platform to track habits, body weight, weight moved and speed in one place. The result is a room where progress is tracked week to week and nobody is guessing.
Hitting, pitching and strength run under the same roof so an athlete's week fits together instead of competing with itself.
Youth and high school hitters
Youth Hitting Training
Small-group hitting work in the cages, tracked with HitTrax so a swing change shows up as a number, not an opinion. Exit velocity, launch angle and contact quality get logged every session.
Arm care, mechanics and command built on Driveline pitching modules, with HitTrax and radar guns tracking velocity so young arms build speed on healthy patterns.
Run by full-time strength coaches on programming built in-house. Power and velocity go up while movement patterns stay clean, which is the whole point of lifting in-season.
“When training at Rip City, you train with the best trainers, players, and people around. Not only do you find yourself in a great baseball environment, you find yourself in a high energy situation where anyone can be comfortable. In my time at Rip City, I've noticed an increase in production in my swing and improvement in my all-around game.”
Anton Lazits · Columbia
“Rip City is the top facility in all of Western Mass. The staff has helped me an immense amount transforming me into the player that I am today. The hours after dark, and continuous input is something that every kid in our area should experience. Kevin and Alex not only will instruct with baseball, but will even teach life lessons throughout the sessions. Rip City is starting to become more of a culture and people would be insane to not invest their time with them.”
Drew Demartino · Hartford
“Rip City Academy has brought the cutting edge of baseball player development into our Berkshire County backyard. Utilizing state of the art baseball technology and in-depth knowledge of the game, Kevin and Alex are creating a competitive atmosphere where players can track their growth and follow an individualized plan tailored to their own needs. Players can see and feel improvements with instant feedback from the very same technologies being used at the Major League level. Never before have Berkshire County athletes had this type of access to professional-level training and development programs.”
